Kenco’s sole mission is to deliver safe, efficient transport for oversize cargo by handling aerial and roadside obstructions, providing route survey, planning services and traffic control along the transport route, and working with local authorities and utility companies to ensure that the transport route causes minimal disruptions for the community and cargo owner. BEHIND THE SCENES: A HISTORY OF KENCO BUCKET TRUCKS.
In 1997, Kenny realized that there was no one providing bucket truck services to high load transports. Sure, there were construction companies that had bucket trucks, but no one was offering specialized services with qualified and experienced crews and properly maintained fleets. The industry needed a true specialist to escort heavy hauls safely and efficiently, so Kenny bought a used bucket truck and carefully studied his potential customers’ needs.
To stand out from the competition and ensure people would learn about his new bucket truck company that offered reliable route planning and obstruction clearing, Kenny worked with a friend to paint his first truck. Between his desire to be recognized and the paint colors available, the truck turned out purple.
After working jobs in the area, Kenny’s old dinosaur of a truck was rightfully nicknamed Barney in honor of the loveable children’s television character. Kenny’s desire to be recognized and memorable came to fruition with this first purple truck; however, Kenco Bucket Trucks made a statement in the industry because of the team’s expertise, hard-work mentality and dependability. Today, Kenco is often referred to as the PURPLE BUCKET TRUCKS™ fleet because of their bold, purple trucks.
