Recently, Volvo Trucks North America announced a recall for some of their VNM and VNL trucks equipped with Meritor FF967 non-drive front steer axles. The axles may fracture, “resulting in a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.” Still other trucks equipped with a Cummins ISX12 engine, “may experience an internal electric short that can cause a fuse to blow.” For those who rely on these vehicles to provide for their families, it is important to stay up-to-date on recall information. To make sure you’re in the know, six federal agencies with vastly different jurisdictions have joined together to create [www.recalls.gov](http://www.recalls.gov) — a one stop shop for U.S. Government recalls. To stay current on any recalls regarding tires, motorcycles, child restraints, school busses and all other vehicles, follow these easy steps to sign up to receive email notifications from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). 1. **Click [here](http://www.recalls.gov/list.html)** to sign up for alerts and enter your email address. 2. **Confirm your subscription.** Once you have signed up, a message will be sent to the email address you enter, asking you to confirm your subscription by replying to the message.
